Kundalini Yoga with Jessica Ryan
Vinyasa Flow Yoga cultivates a strong body-mind connection by linking your physical actions with the movement of your breath. You will flow through an eclectic blend of poses in dynamically arranged sequences that challenge your strength, flexibility and balance. Moving through a traditional heat building flow duing the first half of class you will warm the body and challenge strength, stability, and balance, then focus on opening up tight areas such as hamstrings, shoulders & hips during the last half. Pranayamic breathing will help to bring awareness back to the breath prior to your sivasana. You will leave feeling longer, stronger and rejuvenated. A fabulous class for both the Yoga Practioner and the Athlete who is new to yoga and in need of its benefits.
A gentle class for those new to yoga, those recovering from injuries, or who experience limited movement. It is designed to build awareness of body alignment, mindfulness and spiritual harmony. Through gentle movements, deep and varied breathing techniques, and long supported asana poses using supporting props (blocks, blankets, and bolsters) students will experience a deep connection, wholeness, and radiant health that a regular yoga practice offers. Class Focus: Safe alignment; use of breathing to energize, sooth and renew; 7 Basic Movement Patterns and their effect on Brain Function; energy awareness and movement.

Andy Holmes returns to Fusion with a new 90 minute Tai Chi class. The first half of each class will be body opening, loosening, and stretching. The second half will be a progressive study of the Dong Family Tai Chi Chuan Slow Set form. This form follows a pattern established by the classic Yang style 108 Long Form. Tai Chi forms are smooth continuous movements created by linking postures together. Slow form work provides certainty through a known series of movements which help to de-emphasize personal body patterns when followed regularly. Forms also help to reduce mechanical stresses which can be caused by chronic poor posture, inflammation and injuries. Students will use their legs to create lower body stances and move through rounded shapes made with their arms. This work will result in a greater knowledge of how Tai Chi principles relate to body movement, increased physical balance, and reduced tension the practitioner.

ZUMBA® is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin
and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic,
exciting, and effective fitness system! This class format combines fast and
slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to
achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
Zumba® integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval, and
resistance training to maximize caloric output, cardiovascular benefits,
and total body toning. The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow
steps that include body sculpting, which targets areas such as gluteals, legs,
arms, core, abdominals and the most important muscle in the body, the heart.

Breath. Blood. Heartbeat. Every cell — and every soul — was born to
move. We’ll remember, reveal and revel in the rhythms within us and
all around us. This conscious dance class offers safe space for exploring the
moment-to-moment motion of body and spirit. Together, we’ll listen to
ourselves and journey toward greater freedom in our motion and in our
lives. You have all the experience that is necessary. There are no steps to
learn. We’ll each follow our own impulses — which might lead to high-energy
dance, shifting weight, or simply breathing — so the class is appropriate for
any level of fitness.

Afro-Brasilian dance, including Samba, has its roots in West African and European musical forms and developed various forms in different provinces of Brasil. Samba, in particular, is a sensual, energetic dance of celebration using fast foot work, gyrating hips and elegant arm movements to express a connection between the earth, sky, and human sensuality. It is performed to polyrythmic music which is sung in the Brasilian language of Portuguese. In this class, the main focus is on learning the Basic to Intermediate levels of the Samba and Samba Reggae dance styles. We will also hit on Frevro, Baiao, and dances of the Orixas. Come move, shake the blues away and find out how dance is believed to be the shortest path to happiness.

The Parent and Child Creative Dance classes are a fun and creative way to spend time moving and grooving with your child. Adult participation is a big part of this class, as children learn a lot of things by example. There is a balance of led activities and free style dancing time. Some of the props used are hula hoops, balls, scarves, pom-poms, and a parachute. We end the class with musical instrument circle time as our cool down, and share songs together.

Class cost: $40 for a Four Class Month Pass,
$12 drop-in (with a sliding scale available
for those who need financial assistance)
*Cost is per family with one child

Since the beginning of human history, drums have been used to call people together, to communicate across great distances, to rise in celebration, and to march
together in common cause. Drums of one form or another are found in
every culture and are used in spiritual traditions for a variety of purposes.
No matter whether they are played in an indigenous ceremony, a rock band,
or a parade, they bring our consciousness together with a common pulse.

The mission of all Drumatic Innovation Drum Circle Events is to empower
its participants to discover the universal language of rhythm.
Drumatic Drumcircle programs, whether educational, stress relief, or team
building seek to facilitate this discovery so that a group of people may
become empowered to play, think, and live more rhythmically with the
world around them. The facilitated drum circle is the vehicle for the journey.
Drum circles are becoming popular for all age groups, even seniors events and activities. All individuals are rhythmic and need only to have it uncovered from within. The drum transcends all boundaries of race, religion, age, gender, social position. Interactive drumming breaks down barriers of hierarchy, culture, language, age and gender. We are all rhythmical beings!

All ages welcome!!! A great family outing.
Cost is only $5 per person.

The Latiaf Training provides the basic elements needed to
support and grow an authentic life. Through awakening and
cultivating our ability to tolerate and navigate this perceivable
and palpable terrain of essence, the subtle body of our soul, we
gain the confidence to reclaim and actualize our true nature.
Over time through consciously attending to and developing
these subtle organs of perception, we discover that which is
not congruent fall away exposing our innate preciousness.

This training will provide the tools and skills necessary to ground, differentiate, discern, and facilitate ways of re-Sourcing our own inner guidance. Through inquiry, as well as additional practices and exercises we will learn to recognize the subtle and not so subtle ways in which we fall in and out of alignment with Source energy. This energy, which is soul is comprised of various emanations and essences appearing as colored lights, latifas, each corresponding to specific attributes, aspects, and capacities inherent in our true nature. These colors are not a passive impression, but are the intrinsic language of the soul to itself. It is here that we “Be”-come unfolded, transmuted, and self-realized in the pure presence of this truth. As a process of self-exploration and liberation, the Latiaf Training is available to all who are sincere and ready to claim, cherish, and live an essential life.

We call on the infinite Kundalini energy, the creative force in all of us, to be set in motion. We breathe. We open and move our bodies. We chant and meditate. We learn to honor, listen and care for our bodies. We set our spirits soaring and we give voice to our soul and intuition. And, most important in this day and age, we practice the art of relaxing. Anyone can do it. It is challenging but fun. There are potent opportunities to break out of some of our old conditionings and awaken in our true essence. Yoga can help us meet the daily challenges of life with grace and strength. It can support an opening and softening of the heart so that our birthright of happiness can be fully experienced and embodied. I invite you to come open your wings and fly with us!
