Tai Chi forms are continuous movements created by linking postures together.
This internal art of Chinese origin follows a traditional lineage currently taught by
Master Alex Dong of New York. It is centered around a series of slow, rehearsed movements which de-emphasize personal body patterns and reduce the affects
of stress on the body. Students of all levels will benefit from attending this ongoing drop-in class. Practitioners develop confidence in movement by understanding how
tai chi postures are based on stances that naturally provide support for upper body movements. The postures of tai chi include a variety of standing shapes made by
gentle rounding of the legs and arms. Consistent practice moving through these
postures results in greater health from increased balance, strength, and relaxation.
Cost: $12 per Drop-in class $40 for 4 classes, and $80 for 8 classes.

Experience the movement and the stillness of your body and soul in
this Soul Motion inspired conscious dance class. Together, we'll
listen to ourselves and one another and journey toward greater freedom
in our motion and our lives.
You have all the experience that is necessary. There are no steps to
learn. We’ll each follow our own impulses — which might lead to
high-energy dance, shifting weight, or simply breathing — so the class
is appropriate for any level of fitness.
Soul Motion, created by Vinn Marti, is a movement ministry that
invites dancers to explore the magic and mystery of their own creative
expression.
Classes are $12 per drop-in class,

Afro-Brasilian dance, including Samba, has its roots in West African and
European musical forms and developed various forms in different provinces of
Brasil. Samba, in particular, is a sensual, energetic dance of celebration
using fast foot work, gyrating hips, and elegant arm movements to express a
connection between the earth, sky, and human sensuality. It is performed to
polyrythmic music which is sung in the Brasilian language of Portuguese.
In this class, the main focus is on learning the basic level of the Samba and
Samba Reggae dance styles. If you think you have two left feet, this class
is for you!
This wonderful event full of laughter, movement, friendship, and play happens on the
3rd Saturday of every month (please check the calender.
It consists of two hours of music and dance activities for all ages and abilities.
Grandparents and infants, schoolchildren and even some teens come together for
the joy of dancing. Examples of activities include Shape Museum, where your dance
takes you to interlocking shapes with others, dancing with scarves or giant rubber
bands, in costumes, or riding on a pull cloth, making movement interactive and playful.
The evening flows between structured dance activities and free dancing.
A variety of music offers everyone a chance to explore their own
kind of dance. Cost: $5-15 per family.

ZUMBA® is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system! This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits.
Zumba® integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval, and resistance training to maximize caloric output, cardiovascular benefits, and total body toning. The cardio-based dance movements are easy-to-follow steps that include body sculpting, which targets areas such as gluteals, legs, arms, core, abdominals and the most important muscle in the body, the heart.
