Introduction To Tai Chi Principles with Andy Holmes
fusion005002.jpg
The Feldenkrais Method focuses on making movement easier, graceful, elegant, effortless
(in body and in mind). The body becomes a vehicle for learning; physical movement becomes
a metaphor for how we each move through our lives, and in relationship to others.
Movements used are simple, and remind the brain of pre-wired functions and movements
learned early in development. The movements are based on the structure of our skeletons,
which are designed for easy movement, through shifting of weight, coming out of and back
into balance. The method provides a safe, low stimulus environment. The work takes two
forms:

*Awareness Through Movement Lessons (ATM), in which students are guided verbally
through a series of movements aimed at illuminating a particular function or set of functions.
The Student is invited to gently explore the movement in their own way, developing
awareness of how they move.

*Functional Integration lessons (FI), in which the practitioner guides the student's
movements through touch and words, in a one-on one-process of movement awareness.

The movement sequences expand self-image. For example, once you learn that your ribs move
separately from one another, you can then use these parts. When you can move your ribs,
your breath may be more free, you may walk with less impact and greater balance, and may
even feel a greater sense of power in the world, as you move more easily through it. Students
of the Feldenkrais Method often express feeling more relaxed, thinking more clearly, having
greater flexibility and balance, or experiencing a decrease in pain.
The method is used by anyone who wants to improve and enhance function.

"...make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant." Moshe Feldenkrais

Kundalini Yoga with Siri Om Kaur
Kundalini is a dynamic, energizing form of yoga.

It works especially on strengthening the central nervous system and ON building up your immune system. IT IS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU COMBAT THE STRESSES OF MODERN LIFE, AND WORKS ON A DEEP ENERGETIC LEVEL TO CLEANSE AND DETOX YOU. It can be adapted for any- ‘body’ – regardless of fitness or strength.

A typical kundalini yoga class contains all of the 8 limbs (Ashtanga) of traditional yoga practise. These include postures, pranayama (breath work), meditation and some chanting of ancient mantras. This combination can bring you to an experience of your “total self” - which is unlimited and free of fear.
